1. Introduction

ReadReel (the “Platform”) is operated by ReadReel team. The Platform offers an ecosystem where developers and users can create, publish, and engage with interactive storytelling content. By accessing or using the Platform, its mobile applications, or any related services, you (“User”) acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). Your continued use of the Platform confirms your acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform immediately.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Minimum Age: To use the Platform, you must be at least 13 years of age. In regions where the law requires a higher minimum age (for example, age 16 under GDPR-related requirements), the applicable local legal standard will apply.

2.2 Authority: If you access or use the Platform on behalf of an organization or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have full authority to bind that organization or entity to these Terms.

2.3 Restrictions: Individuals who have previously been suspended or banned from the Platform, or who are prohibited from using the Platform under applicable law, are not permitted to use the Platform.

3. License Grant

3.1 Scope: Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to access and use the Platform solely for the purposes of creating, publishing, and engaging with literary works (“Stories”).

3.2 Restrictions: You may not reverse engineer, scrape, extract data from, or make unauthorized commercial use of the Platform.

3.3 IP Retention: All rights, title, and interest in and to the Platform, including its software, branding, and platform-owned content, remain exclusively owned by us.

4. Account Management

4.1 Registration: You agree to provide true, current, and complete registration information and to keep such information updated without undue delay.

4.2 Security: You must promptly inform us of any unauthorized access to or use of your account. You are responsible for activities that occur under your account.

4.3 Termination: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may also delete your account using the tools available in your account dashboard, with the understanding that certain data loss may be permanent and irreversible.

5. Content Policies

5.1 User Content: You retain ownership of the original literary works, comments, media, or other materials (“User Content”) that you upload or submit to the Platform.

5.2 Licenses Granted: By submitting User Content to the Platform, you grant the following rights:

To ReadReel: a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, and distribute your User Content as necessary for operating, maintaining, and improving the Platform.

To Other Users: a non-exclusive right to access and interact with your User Content in accordance with the Platform’s available features and functionality.

5.3 Content Standards: Your User Content must:

(a) be fully original or properly licensed;

(b) comply with all applicable laws and respect third-party rights;

5.4 Moderation: We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable community standards. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or permanent termination.

6. Prohibited Conduct

When using the Platform, you must not:

bypass or interfere with the Platform’s security measures or access controls;

upload malware, malicious code, or otherwise disrupt the Platform’s services;

impersonate another person or entity, or engage in abusive or harassing conduct;

use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools without our prior authorization.

7. Payments & Fees

7.1 Subscription Terms: Some features of the Platform may require payment. Except where refund rights are required by law, all payments are non-refundable.

7.2 Third-Party Processors: Payment transactions are processed by PCI-compliant third-party providers, such as Stripe or PayPal. We are not responsible for errors, failures, or issues caused by such payment processors.

7.3 Taxes: You are solely responsible for any applicable VAT, GST, sales tax, or similar taxes associated with your use of paid services.

8. Disclaimers

8.1 “As-Is” Basis: The Platform is made available on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the Platform will operate without interruption or error.

8.2 Third-Party Links: We are not responsible for any external websites, products, or services that may be linked to or accessed through the Platform.

9. Liability Limitations

9.1 Cap on Damages: To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Platform or these Terms shall not exceed USD 500.

9.2 Exclusions: We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages resulting from or related to your use of the Platform.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ReadReel team from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or connected with your User Content, your misuse of the Platform, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Intellectual Property

11.1 DMCA Compliance: If you believe that content on the Platform infringes your copyright, you may send an infringement notice to support@ReadReel.net, including:

·Details of the copyright owner;

·Identification of the allegedly infringing material;

·A statement made under penalty of perjury confirming the accuracy of the notice.

11.2 Counter-Notifications: Users who believe content was wrongly removed may submit a counter-notification through the same contact channel.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by the laws of [State/Country], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

12.2 Arbitration: Any dispute or claim arising under these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with [JAMS/AAA Rules], and the arbitration proceedings shall take place in [Jurisdiction]. You and we each waive any right to participate in a class action.

13. General
